Dias Karimov is a concert pianist, arranger, improviser, and educator based in Wiesbaden, Germany. Known for his distinctive crossover style, he blends classical structure, jazz harmony, and improvisational depth to create an original sound that resonates with audiences worldwide.

Artistic Background

Born into a musical family in Ufa, Russia, Dias began performing at the age of six. His father, composer and pianist Airat Karimov, played a pivotal role in his early development, passing on both classical foundations and improvisational thinking. He completed postgraduate studies in classical piano at the State Academy of Arts in Ufa, then continued his education in Germany, studying jazz piano at the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar under Leonid Chizhik and David Gazarov.

Concert Activity

Dias has performed across Germany, France, Russia, Turkey, Bulgaria, and the USA, presenting a wide-ranging repertoire that includes original compositions, crossover interpretations of classical works, and free improvisations. He appears regularly at concert halls, festivals, and cultural events, combining structural precision with creative spontaneity.

Teaching & Arranging

Alongside his performance career, Dias is an experienced educator and founder of the online school Virtual Piano, where he teaches jazz, improvisation, and crossover piano.
