About Dias Karimov
Dias Karimov is a concert pianist with a unique crossover voice, combining classical and jazz traditions through improvisation and original repertoire. Trained in the Russian and German music systems, he performs solo programs internationally and teaches musicians at all levels.
Artistic Background
Born in Ufa into a family of professional musicians, Dias began performing at the age of six. His father, composer and pianist Airat Karimov, played a central role in his early development — passing on both classical foundations and improvisational thinking. Dias completed his postgraduate studies in classical piano at the State Academy of Arts in Ufa, followed by a degree in jazz piano from the University of Music FRANZ LISZT in Weimar, Germany.
Concert Activity
Dias has performed solo and ensemble programs across Germany, France, Russia, Turkey, Bulgaria, and the USA. His concerts include original works, crossover interpretations of classical repertoire, and free improvisations. He regularly appears at concert halls, festivals, and cultural events, combining artistic discipline with stylistic freedom.
Teaching & Arranging
Alongside his performance work, Dias is an experienced educator and founder of the online school “Virtual Piano,” where he teaches jazz, improvisation, and crossover piano. He is the author of over 100 piano arrangements — from classical transcriptions to jazz and pop — published internationally and available on his official store: store-dias.com
